Hello, so I'm yet on iOS 11 beta
I have an backup of my phone I would like to extract, but due to some problems with the backup I would only like to recover the photos.
There are a lot of programs doing the stuff, but I cannot find a single one there is completely free. I don't need to be any fancy stuff, but do someone knows a good way to extract photos from an iTunes backup with og without a third part program for Mac?

Thanks in advance.

You could always restore the backup to your phone, recover the photos, then reset the phone. It’s a bit of work, but at least it’s free.

Yes I know, but how do I get them back again? I especially have a lot of live-photos and 10,000 pictures to recover.

If you restore your backup, you can use image capture on your mac to transfer the photos over. Then you just restore the phone as new.

Well, where do you want them? Either you could connect a computer to the phone with a USB cable and extract the pictures that way or if you still want the photos on your phone enable the iCloud Photo Library and let it transfer them to the cloud, then they will be available on your phone again after it has been wiped.

First who's using iTunes?
Second use photo wifi apps for transffering photos to phone or pc.

If you are a legal user you will never need iTunes on PC/Mac.

Um, who uses iTunes, those that want to use iTunes backup? Those that want to store apps on their computer for backup? Those that have a massive iTunes music/movie collection? Those that use Apple Music? What type of question is that...

If you are not going to help, don't post. Your WiFi app suggestion does absolutely nothing as the photos are in an iTunes backup.

Exactly. Just two days ago, I used itunes to move my wife from an 6+ to her new 7+. She doesn't put everything on the cloud. I was able to hand her a phone with 0 information lost.

Whenever I have relied on the cloud, I've always something...
