A glaring omission or something for later?

Living in London I was really excited for public transport in Maps for the reason of being able to integrate it with travel time in calendar. However you can still only select traveling time with either driving or walking directions. I would have thought Apple would have integrated this from the get go. What do you think the reason for leaving it out is? I was really looking forward to combining those feature

a) Apple rolls things out bit by bit. Adding features over time - some features take priority for their usefulness, potential number of users it would be for, and more
b) Apple isn't going to add all features - users can always supplement/replace the stock apps' features with apps from the App Store.
c) What you're asking for isn't a trivial feature! It would be a great one to see.

Even in ios8 you could zip up the files then send that as an attachment
