Well,

I noticed the other day that when I turned on the powerbook that a funny thing happened, when the powerbook starts up it shows a blue screen with a square and a globe in the middle of it. Then it goes to a folder with a question mark, and then it shows a folder with a smiley face (the mac one like finder). It does this everytime a restart occurs. I noticed this after a upgraded to 10.3.4, any thoughts?

Go into System Preferences, and choose Startup Disk. Choose the folder that says Mac OS X 10.3.4. Then click Restart. That should fix it.

your computer's startup disk is set to Network Startup, so it's looking there first. follow LeeTom's advice; you should see quicker startup times as a result, as your machine no longer wastes time looking for a non-extistant network startup disk.

Thanks a lot guys, I will try that when I get home tonight.
