About a year ago I started reading a javascript tutorial. It was downloadable in HTML. It was for programmers and it had a little console window at the bottom of each page to do exercises. It really was excellent. Not just javascript for the web, but as a programming language.

Now I can't bloody find it...

A long shot, but has anyone used it?

I'm fairly certain that what you're talking about is www.w3schools.com . I have used their tutorials for a very long time, and they are the best tutorial site I have found.

Good luck!
