Apple is the best company out there period. it makes everything they sell and polishes before its out the door. everything from the custom bodys to the OS the device is running. unlike franken stein pc's apple just does it right from the start. mp3 player, phone, Tower computers, laptops, tv media centers, wifi routers Cinema Displays the list could keep going. compared to what? microsoft? they have a ****** os and a zune that no one likes? lol i haven't seen any 1 with a zune in my entire life. if you really think about it. im pretty sure every house hold has some sorta apple product that isnt poor. my house is full of apple **** like 5-6 ipods a apple time capsule 3 macbookpro's 2 imacs and 2 iphones. lol kinda creepy but they make superior products.

Interesting - arousing a feeling of interest.

Thought - the product of mental activity; that which one thinks.

I've had a few lousy Apple products in the 25 years I've been using themm,

The below are ones that gave me all sort of grief.

Apple make some good products. Best company out there period? Oh good gravy no.

I've never had a problem with my Apple devices but friends and family have. Also their complete abandonment of older OS's is a bit annoying. Microsoft supported XP for years, could you image Apple supporting earlier OSX for so long?
Or why are they using such terrible displays in their laptop range.
Or why are they so hell bent on using smaller ports making us rebuy adapters (in my case I went from a DVI, Mini DVI to the thing thats on the new Macbook).
Or why they decided it was best to leave off a USB port on the iPad.
Or the iPad in general.
Or their (well until recently I guess) lack of decent video card options in all their lines barring the Mac Pro.
Or how PC alternatives to the Macbook Pro are more "pro" and cost less doing so.

Rubbish - although I guess the Pippin is giving Microsoft a run for it's money.
In my opinion Windows 7 and OS X are now so close to each other it doesn't matter which you run.

Group hug and lets all bow down to the graven Jobs image as we worship apple

Ok, you're a fanboy, that's great and apple does make some great products. They also dictate what you can run on your iPhone, i.e., not wanting a Pulitzer prize winner's political app on the iphone because it was, well political.

In any event, I've had some hits and misses from apple's product line, from time to time. Their G4 cube, was a gorgeous computer that flopped miserably.

On the flip side, windows 7 is a good and impressive OS. I've been using that for a while now and found it to be solid, fast, stable and even more extensible and customizable then OSX ever wished it could.

I'm not trying to sound like a troll, but rather point out that other companies do good work, and while apple does produce some great products, they're not perfect.

Snip...compared to what? microsoft? they have a ****** os and a zune that no one likes? lol i haven't seen any 1 with a zune in my entire life. if you really think about it. im pretty sure every house hold has some sorta apple product that isnt poor. my house is full of apple **** like 5-6 ipods a apple time capsule 3 macbookpro's 2 imacs and 2 iphones. lol kinda creepy but they make superior products.

So, do you really like Apple? :)

Windows 7 is far from "whatever your asterisks are" OS. Also, the Zune is great for what it does. I have one.

your very first point....about apple making everything they sell...is 100% incorrect. They dont make anything they sell whatsoever.

i didnt waste my time reading anything else after that...

They do have lots of great products, that's true... but I wouldn't say they're a great company yet, only due to CS issues and some weirdness at too many of their stores.

I've had far more issues with nastiness and anti-customer treatment than I should've at the Apple stores when I've had problems with the 1st gen Macbook Air, a flobby bottom on the 17" unibody 2nd gen (solved only by moving to the 1st gen 17 unibody), and some other faulty products. Far more than I deserve, certainly, having bought more than 20 macs for myself and my company the past few years. You should never blame the customer or look for excuses to not make things right for good customers that pay good money and sometimes get bad product.

Just like with people on an individual level, how a company deals with problems says a lot about their character. (that said, AppleCare over the phone tends to be a lot better than in-store service... I'd rate if 4/5 vs. 2/5 for the store, but they always route me to the damn Apple store if I happen to be near one when calling... and the ones I live close to at the moment are some of the most idiotic in the country, ick!)

When their CS and stores are at the level of service of Trader Joes or Zappos -- i.e., when the full service and store experience matches the level of DESIGN that goes into the products -- Apple will be so good my head will explode. (in a good way!)

I've always liked the Zune and had a first gen version for a while. The only reason I sold it was to downsize to a Nano. While I don't know about the best label, I do think Apple is one of the most innovative companies out there.

To buck the trend... I've always found Zunes to be ugly in looks, ugly slow OS, horrible sync software and to just be a general pain to use. If Apple cancelled the iPod I'd grin and bear it with the Zune but not a moment sooner. For all their faults elsewhere - Apple make excellent MP3 players.

Microsoft do make excellent mice though, whereas Apple never have.
