makes for a really nice 512gb raid0 ssd or a 256gb raid1 or a 2x 256gb jbod setup.

under 650 and you have 2x 500gb hdds as spares.

this thread tells you how to do the mod.

also this is a 2 bay case with daisy chain I recommend this at this price,

you are only risking the lacie's warranty

if you do the ssd mods and pull the fan plug. it would be silent.

I have run my 2 little big disks with no issues in a raid0 3 x 256gb samsungs raid0 boot drive..

the 1tb is my backup and it is using the seagate t-bolt adapter

Nice deal on the case. And SSDs are getting cheap enough that this is doable.

yeah you end up with a 512gb ssd for around 650 and 2 500gb hdds.

I put 5 or 6 different ssds in the lacie case the samsung 256gbs from last year the 470/810's run cool and fast.

I also don't want to hear people complaining about a lack of cases for t-bolt at 234 this is a good case loaded with 2 hdds.

one flaw the fan noise is crazy but pulling the fan plug and dropping in the samsungs fixes that.
