Had no real success finding a case without the smart feature for my 12.9 inch, so I found any even better option with an everyday padfolio. First, I got the 2017 verizon rugged OEM case (new) via ebay for approximately $11.00 dollars shipped. Then, I wanted some type of padded tablet or laptop sleeve for overall dust protection. Tested out multiple sleeves locally, and everything simply felt flimsy. No real added value. Stumbled across a leather padfolio at home. Perfect size, snug, and the ipad stays put. Slot holder for the apple pencil makes it even better. Picked up a pen cap from the dollar tree to give the pencil nib protection. The padfolio doubles up as a tablet stand as well.
