I can't actually see any 10.11.1 betas:/ I'm still on the GM. Do I have to update to final release before downloading the public betas?

Don't know if this will help - FWIW
Had a friend with a MBP stuck on an early version of the beta - tried renewing the profile from beta.apple.com, tried app store for updates - none would show - showed "no updates available"
the work around (that worked for us) was to install the regular release of El Cap and then sign up for the beta again. Had to DL and install the regular release first and then was able to renew the profile for the beta - then downloaded the 10.11.1 beta (15B38b) & upgrade no problem.
