Well it has been about a month since I decided to so a side move from the 8+ to the X. Figured I give some 1 month feedback.
First, it's the perfect size for me. The XS Max or the XR would've been too big for me if I decided to wait and get one of those instead. Love the notch BTW.
Loved the OLED screen when I first used the X and I still love the OLED screen. Hell, I'm still in the hunt of finding awesome wallpapers to use. Haven't really used the camera all that much (which is no surprise) so I'm not going to go into it that much but just say the pics looks good enough for me when I used them.
FaceID is much better than touchid in every way. Using Apple Pay is much more convenient and how the phone unlocks feels & looks much more natural and convenient than TouchID ever was.
All apps are very quick and I don't experience any slowdowns w/ the A11 chip.
Overall, I still love my X now as I did a month ago. Not sure if it is FaceID or what, but I can see myself having the X until Sept 2020 (contract runs out).
