A new 'reply to' question

I have my .mac account and a pop3 account from my work.

Can I have all my pop3 mail redirected to my .mac account?

After that can I have all mail sent from my .mac account have a reply to my pop3 account?

Utilizing the multiple mail box feature would be fantastic and I would like to take advantage of that and also have my work account stay the same.

Please include the steps as to how I would do this.

Depends. Does your work allow you to do that? You need to ask them.

Sure. But you need to create the mail account on the iPhone using the Other shortcut (Settings / Mail / Add Account / Other). You will need to know the incoming and outgoing server names, your login ID and password. Under the Account Information box that comes up when you are creating the account, you can specify your work address.

Well then, get with your IT guy, and ask him how you can redirect your email to an external email account.

Depending on the type of email you are using, the procedure varies. You also want to redirect, not forward. If you forward all your emails, they will all get to you like they, well, are coming from you. So no matter who sends you an email, they will all look like coming from your email address. Redirecting preserves the original senders address in the FROM field.

In Microsoft Outlook (with an Exchange Server backend) for example, there is a rule on the Outlook client I can create (its called a Server Side rule) where I tell Exchange to redirect a copy of all my incoming emails to my outside POP account. Depending on what system you have, the procedure will vary.
