Deathfire: Ruins of Nethermore

This RPG is being planned for the Mac, Windows and Linux and is going
to be released in 6 Episodes.

It failed on Kickstarter to get funded and has now gone over to its
own website for backing via PayPal, come over and join the forums
and throw some coin in the well, this is going to be the best RPG to
appear for many a long year, me I am just a backer who believes in
Guido Henkel and his company and wants a really good real RPG to
play his on Mac, not the rubbish we get spoon fed these days in the
guise of RPGs

No, he is not in the game it is just pre production artwork used on their website inspired by the picture you pointed towards.

My assessment of the RPG landscape these days is less bleak than yours. There are some excellent RPG games for Mac (e.g. Avadon, Avernum series from Spiderweb, Eschalon series from Basilisk). It's a fine time for indie RPGs that emphasize gameplay and story over flash.

That being said, Planescape: Torment is one of my all-time favorites. If one of the key creators of that game is making a new game, I am absolutely interested!

I just read about Divinity: Original Sin, and it sounds awesome!

I dunno why, but being able to take a potato, mix it up with stuff, and make potato chips sounds fun as hell to me. Plus being able to slap a bucket or pumpkin on your head to use as a piece of armor is...just...it's just grand.

And yes, it's coming to The Big Three: Win, Mac, Linux.

I did actually mean spoon fed as in what is available to the masses not to the die hards who know where to go for their fix =)

It looks...kickass (is that going to be censored?) It looks like it will rock. (OK, kickass made it through!)

That's as maybe but it has nothing to do with Guido Henkel this time around.
