When iOS 10 just came out last Fall, I gave it a thorough try. Unfortunately, the app switching animation back then had some noticeable stutter issues, so I went back to iOS 9. Today I figured I'd give iOS 10 another try — first on my iphone where stuttering wasn't too bad. To my surprise, the stutter was gone. Encouraged, I proceeded updating my ipad, and was immensely relieved when I found out there was no stutter on the ipad either. Well, there may be just a tiny bit of stutter, but it's not really different from what I had in iOS 9.

Anyway, I'm really happy that iOS 10 has now been fixed. Hopefully, 11 will be no worse.

Which devices? I still have my ipad 4 on 9.3.5. Afraid to update it. My iPhone 7 is amazing on 10.3.2. Took until 10.3 to fix the stuttering in the app switcher though.

Update: I've tried ios 10 on ipad mini 2. It's definitely not as smooth as on ipad air 2. The stutter isn't terrible, but it is noticeable.

I have it on my Mini 2 and I don't have any issues or stutter - but I don't run a lot on my mini at any time - use mostly for reading books.
