Hello everyone!

Earlier today, I went to a cellular shop in my city (a private lab), to replace my iPhone X battery with a new one.
After the replacement, I've been told that the battery isn't charge at all (0%), and they asked me if I want to
charge it a little bit. I refused, and said that I'll charge my phone once I get home (1 hour later).

When I got home, I plugged my phone to the charger, and once it boot up - I was shocked.
I noticed that there is a mark/spot/stain (not sure how to name it) in my bottom left corner of the phone.
Something that looks like the image I attached, in shape and size.

At start, that stain was completely blue, but 3-4 hours later, it turned completely black.
I wanted to go back to the shop immediately, but it was closed already.

After a short search on Google, I understood that there may be 2 reasons why it happend:

- Perhaps the battery isn't placed well, and it "pushes" the screen.
- Perhaps the technician had too much pressure on that part of the screen, and killed those pixels.

My questions:

- What do you think happend to my screen?
- What can I do in order to fix it? I hope that replace the whole screen isn't the only option..
- If I'll reaplce the screen, it will affects anything? the touch? the 3D? the water resistance?
- Who's fault is this? the shop's? I can demand they fix it, in any cost?

Thank you so much!

Take it back to the shop and report the damage. And next time make sure you’re able to turn it on before you leave.

That's why I'm gonna do, but what about my questions? do you have any idea?
Or someone else?

You should've turned on that device immediately at the shop. Why didn't you?
I didn't think that something like that might happen.. now I do know.
I replaced many batteries in my previous iPhones, and everything was fine.

Sounds like the shop was purposely trying to hide the shoddy repair work. Hope you get it squared away.

This happened to a buddy of mine years ago on his sons iPhone 5. Never bothered to turn on and test at shop. Went home. Turned on. Had a big mark on screen. Then the screen cracked. The shop never placed the screen the right way. Anyways he lost. Shop said not our problem. They said 'you should've checked this when you picked up at our shop...sorry"

The shop installed the battery incorrectly.

Take it to the shop.

Yes, it's possible considering the quality of the shop's work so far has been extremely poor.

The shop's ultimately. But you also should have done your due diligence in making sure your phone worked properly before leaving. It's also extremely weird that they installed a battery that had no charge as lithium batteries should always hold a charge of 30 to 70%.

Good luck. I hope they repair your screen. Otherwise since you didn't check it while at the shop they can just say you're out of luck. "You caused the damage after it left the shop."

Always check the phone within the shop bro, always... You can do nothing about this now :/
