I have tons of photos to scan. I want to scan multiple photos at once and have them automatically divided into different photos by the program.

Do any scanning programs do that?

I would check on a couple of scanner software choices out there that might be worthy contenders (I am not sure what their status is these days so yes, do check not take my suggestion on these software choices as gospel) -

Vuescan
and
Silverfast

My cheapo epson all in one does this directly through the Mac OS scan function. I never installed any software so I assume it's native to Mac OS or it's somehow installed as a driver when I plugged in the Epson. I just go to the printer setting and hit the scan button. It seperates the images but not always accurately so I have to adjust it. When you hit scan it scans them as seperate files with names growing in number 1,2,3....

If you are using a Mac perhaps you can already do this?
