Hi,

I have read a bit into some of the Kindle threads here in Mac rumors.

I remember a thread in which, apparently, Steve Jobs mentioned that he may not bring out to the market a similar product.

I just hope that one could be able to read a book with an iphone or a similar Apple product.

By the way, does one need to have a Kindle to download a book from amazon. I already have at home plenty to read. It's just that I need a textbook.

I already own an ibook, it'd be kind of cool to be able to read a book with my ibook.

Thank you for your comments, kind regards,

igmolinav

There are currently several ebook readers available for the Mac. In the case of ebooks in PDF format, you may use a dedicated reader or any standard application that can open PDF files including Preview.

soon my son the SDK shall come and with it a multitube of ebook readers, and your ibook is already twice as good as a kendal, kendals target the demographic of readers who have a strong bias towards printed material(lamp Users), which is why kendals cant be used in the dark, laptops have been doing what kendals do for years and have the potential to run software, they are only outshined by 3g technology which only makes sence to me if you can read faster than books can download at EVDO which i doubt. palm pilots can do all this kendal stuff and even have a card port like the kendal too, buy a used palm or get an iphone and use some 3rd party apps when they come out. or simply use audio books with any ipod.
