I burned an iDVD project last night to a DVD. Well I deleted the original, I know I am a dumb@$$. Now, I found one freakin error that I need fixed. I tried to import if off of the DVD I burned, but it did not work. Before I rescan all of these pictures and do all of the work again, is there another way to get it off of the burned DVD?:(
I figured it was worth a shot, before I did it all over.

Do you have any of the DVD kracker/ripper programs? That's the only way to remove it as far as I have found. I had a similar problem but it was because a friend had burned the DVD and I needed to edit it.

1. Where can I get one of these programs?
2. Also, I can take it from the dvd and import it back to imovie to fix my mistake? (and then export to idvd for another go)

I believe you can if you have the right programs.

On a similar note. I want to make a backup of all my original data onto a data dvd. Is there an easy way to compile all the data that iDVD imports, like imovie, itunes, iphoto stuff?

Perhaps I just missed an option in iDVD that does this for me?
Joe.

Just put the DVD in the drive and then when the system asks what to do with it tell it to be prepared? I think that's what you want. In any case it should show up like removable disk on your desktop. Then just drag all your data to it. To burn choose burn under File in the finder.

If you have Toast you can just burn a DATA DVD.

The only thing iDVD will put on a DVD is MPEG-2 video. If you want to back up data to DVD you'll need Toast.

I know how to burn data. My problem is compiling all of the data together. As far as I know iDVD won't conglomerate all the data that you've imported from iPhoto, iMovie and iTunes for you. So you'd have to gather up all the data yourself and then recreate the project using files that haven't been accessed directly from these sharable apps.
