"A required download is missing" message when resetting Mac OS X to default setting

Hello,
I tried to do a factory reset. K searched this form for answers. One was to reset the date and try again. I did that with no success. Another suggestion was to to the Internet Factory Reset, however when I do that my internet connection does not show so I can't move forward. Another suggestion was to create a boot disk but I have no idea how to do that. Anyone have any easy fixes to this issue?

Are you using Wifi? You might have better luck if you use an ethernet cable plugged into your router. One less thing to worry about, and potentially faster.

- WHICH Mac you have
- WHAT YEAR it was made
- WHAT VERSION OF THE OS you want to install...
