A round black optical disc drive to put under nMP?

Are there any black optical disc drives anywhere? Would love to get a black one that can act as a small surface/stand for the nMP and blend in perfectly.

I imagine many third party hardware manufacturers are developing some circular hardware that would fit perfectly and doubles as a base for the nMP.
Something like the current Apple one, except round and black would be great. Any ideas if there were any of the sort floating around?

I think Samsung make a round one..just checked...all the slim ones I can see are square, but they are slim so could still be used as a stand I guess.

As the underside is used to draw air in to the machine, I wouldn't want to put anything mechanical there. It would just get bombarded with dust over time.

The Mac Pro has a diameter of 6.6"

That drive is slightly bigger than that.

What about all that weight on the drive? Not sure that's going to last long, even though it looks great.

As little as I use an optical drive, mine will be in a drawer mostly. My nMP will be under the desk. I want a round piece of granite to perch mine on, and lift it off the floor.

The link says the drive is designed for the can so it must be sturdy enough to stick it on top, though cos it draws cool air from the bottom of the can I would imagine it will gather dust on it fairly quickly..

I had an old Sony usb 16X DVD+-RW in the garage. It works great with my nMP.

that numac drive does not match the mac pro at all and it doesn't look close to that smooth in person. I ordered one and it was a big disappointment and was dead on arrival.

A good clue is that it doesn't have an actual photograph on the site, or specify if it's USB 2.0 or 3.0

If you dig through the site it is mentioned that it is USB 3.0

You're right - if you dig all the way back to the first entry in their blog, there it is.

When you're trying to sell a product, you put quality photos of it on the main page, as well as specs like USB type. You don't bury them in a blog.
