Im using a refurbished M1 MBP and there have been a few strange shutdowns when i leave the laptop on without doing anything. Is there a way i can make a scan with an app that would make a check to see if all hardware/software are functioning properly?

Run a diagnostic.
If that doesn’t show any problems, create a new volume and install macOS there. If the issue doesn’t happen on that new volume, then it’s caused by some software you’ve loaded.
