Read this article about Carl Pei's ambitious plans to make OnePlus a "platform" that people "will want" to be part of all the time. Link: http://www.androidauthority.com/oneplus-ambitions-624275/
i didnt see anything new in this article. Others are already doing or thinking about doing. Oneplus is just doing the same.
well, althought they (or pei) plan to store biometric data to their servers, it is hard to believe that they actually will do that.
Legally I'm not sure they would even be allowed if they operated in the U.S. or Europe but give they operate outside of the jurisdiction I am not sure I'd like to take that gamble. I just have to read through Carl Pei's responses to people on their forum when someone disagrees and you can see the pure level of contempt and arrogance that they harbour to their customers.
yeah, the guy has gotten yellow water to his head lately... i wonder how long they let him to speak for customers.
Carl Pei backpedalling said:"We would never do anything to compromise the trust people have placed in us"....
I'd rather not store that level of detail on their servers.“because we own the end-to-end user experience on e-commerce, we can capture their address, their credit card information, even their biometric information.”
