Whatever reasons for the pencil to be short: manufacturing issues, glitch in launch day pickup, miss-shipped to Sephora.

Why are the keyboard delays bound to the same dates as the pencil?

I got a good laugh out of it as well

Both the pencil and keyboard are new items, they have built many iPads before. New products / components always seem to have this issue with Apple. Same thing with the watch bands and the hold up on the first touchID sensors.

Whats funny is that I got a "your product is ready" email from the apple store right after writing this, and now have both accessories. They almost tried to cancel them on me yesterday

Sarasota, FL. I placed it the second the store went live to ship to the store. At the time, it also said available for pickup, which of course was not.

Nope. I was just at my local Apple Store. None in stock. And they had no idea when they would get them.
