I have searched all over my iphone (and ipod touch for that matter) trying to find where to place movies.

Basically, I do not want to use itunes to sync my movie files. So where do i put them? And where are they stored on the iphone, if I want to rescue them?

Can I put movies on my iphone through cyberduck?

Okay, more than one question but i'm hoping you all can help me with this one.

Thank you!

it's close but i'm on a mac (well, several of them, actually).
i just want to put my movie files directly onto my iphone - that way, i don't have to worry about syncing up with multiple computers - hence the reason i don't want to use itunes. it wipes my library every time i go to a different computer.

very frustrating.

thanks for the post though, i'll look into this as well.

Sure you can put them on there manually but it's a pain to manage and you can't use the iPod app to play your movies.

So manually manage your Library or just charge on the other Mac and don't sync?

VideoSafe : http://www.apptism.com/apps/video-safe

This program allows wifi transfer of video from any computer. I am not affiliated, just a happy customer.

I use linux and only boot windows to upgrade my phone. I hate itunes and would probably shoot myself if I had to use it.

I use Discover to transfer movies and iFile to watch them. Both are from Cydia. Both have app store versions but I'm sure they're not as capable.

iFile can do transfers too but it does so by starting a webserver and opening a webpage that you can connect to on your computer. Discover uses the webdav protocol which allow you to drag and drop. Discover may be able to play movies too, I dunno, I only use it for transferring files.
