Hi guys,

I was replacing the inflated battery on my macbook when a small part broke off near the battery power connector. The part is circled black in the image below. After I powered the machine up, the mac was running fine. Can anybody tell me what that part does and whether my mac will explode in the future. Thank you very much.

I'm looking at the pic above and don't see "a circle".
What am I missing?
 
May I suggest a better color? Here it is in yellow. Looks like a resistor to me. Maybe you accidentally overclocked it?
