I use OBS with continuity feature for quite a while now and it works great. Currently running 13.3.1 Ventura. I noticed this prompt after installing iOS 17 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max...."A software update is required to connect your OS device" I ignored it and can still see continuity camera working. I wonder what this prompt pertains to? I just checked finder and it seems like it's connecting as well. Haven't tested syncing yet either. Anyone testing this with MacOS 14 or 13.14 even? Curious what this software update is going to attempt to install ? I also didn't see anything other than 13.4 genera/software update section of settings.

You need to install the Xcode beta to get the connection to work with your Mac in terms of updating / restoring the device via Mac. Been like that for the last few years. It installs some kind of update

I get conflicting messages. “A software update is required,” but there is “no update available on the download server”and the phone syncs fine without it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Interesting. The message on my screen didn’t make that clear. However, I downloaded the Mac OS 13 Device Support file from the beta page (even though I can only use 12.6.7 on my Mac) and installed it and the error message went away.
