Ok so i have had iPhones for quite some time now, Last week i took delivery of my new 3GS and its week 50 :(

However i took my chance and tried blackra1n, and i was supprised it Jailbroke first time around? unfortunatly my battery died a few days ago, i tied running blackra1n to boot it up but nothing so i had to restore it.

Now im trying to jailbreak again without any success? just gets stuck when rebooting, i try running blackra1n again to boot it but nothing?

Am i doing something wrong? i'm not a total noob but this has stumped me

You have a tethered jailbreak.

Yea i was reading that before, however seems odd that it jailbroke first time no problems? and then i did a full restore and setup as a new phone , and nothing now

Well i will be damned, after just constantly trying for the last 20mins its done!!

Thanks

Being week 50, it has to be a re-manufactured 3GS if it has the old bootrom.

Is the 2nd character of the serial number a letter instead of a number ?

If so, that means it was re-manufactured during week 50.
