Hello, I own an M1 iPad Pro 12.9" model.
On my charging port, I noticed a smear or something similar. I've charged it several times in the last two weeks, but I'm not sure if it's my fault or if this stain was already there. I charged it once with my Anker powerbank, but with a USB a to USB c cable also from Anker, and I'm worried that my port has burned out or that something else has gone wrong.
Also, I am certain it is not dirt. What do you think it is?

Isn't it water damage? Like wet cable that oxidised the metal inside the port? Do you have dog/cat?? (I believe this rabbit hole is a dead end).

Yes i have a dog and also a cat but i am not sure why are you adressing them for a wet cable ?

If it still charges fine, then don't worry about it.
Yes, it still charges, but I am concerned that it may stop to do so in the near future. I tried to remove it with a toothpick, believing it was a stain or something similar, but it remained:(
This was the cable and powerbank that I used:

Now i am only using my mac charger and its thunderbold 3 cable or original cable/adapter.
☹️☹️☹️
