Just come upon an interesting tip on reddit and I just cannot help to repost it here. If you're using 16GB iPhone or iPad, and fed up with deleting apps or other content to free more storage, then I bet this weird tip will help you a lot. Here you are:
1. Open the iTunes Store app > go to movies > and find any really large title (as large as you can find) > Tap the Rent button twice (DON'T ACTUALLY RENT IT):
2. Usually you'll see the message that there's not enough space available to download your rental > tap Settings > navigate back to General > Storage & iCloud Usage > very likely you'll find gigabytes of storage have been reclaimed.
Have tried on my device and reclaimed 2.8GB, very glad to find this useful tip
