Great! I have been waiting for a post like this to get a better handle on the size differences. Thanks much.

Look at the bezel difference between the 10.5 and 9.7. Me likes.

Np, I did for myself as well. The 10.5 seems to be about the same size Horizontally as two iPad Minis. Just like the 12.9 is about two 9.7 iPad Pros Horizontally.

Yup. Now here's hoping Apple eventually upgrades the 10.5 to 326 PPI. Then it would be much closer to 2x retina iPad minis side by side. :D

Those extra pixels help a lot to make small text legible without needing to zoom in every time. :)

I wanted to see the 10.5 versus the 9.7 in store to see how I felt about the size. I looked at the 9.7 in stores all week and did not really feel comfortable with it over my 12.9. Forget it, I do not even care when BB or Apple even puts them on display now. Based on these photos I am getting the 10.5 regardless and will gladly give up my “tank” 12.9. I feel it will be very doable with its nice screen to body ratio and extra real estate versus the 9.7.

I think the 10.5 is going to be a real winner for Apple.

Edit: corrected spelling mistakes, geez I need to proofread.

Yeah, I down sized from the 12.9 to the 10.5 myself. I decided if the 10.5 doesn't work, I would just get the Surface Pro 2017.

This has been such a tough decision and seeing this comparison has made it worst. I ordered the iPad Pro 12.9, but I can't decide if it's too big and thinking about the 10.5 Pro. I've even thought about getting both.

Yeah I have a 12.9 and ordered a new 12.9, but this is kinda making me wanna go 10.5, even though I played with my dd's 9.7 earlier to see what I thought and I just don't know if I can give up my screen, but even if I decide I could, I'm worried about typing on that smaller ASK.

Yeah, I am disappointed that the 10.5 has a full on-screen keyboard but it doesn't include a larger delete button or number row like the 12.9. If it did, it would be perfect.

This is a really nice comparison! If only Apple could reduce weight and bezels of the next 12.9", it would be impossible to resist (ofcourse with AMOLED screen, 3D touch and 6gb of ram also:D).
