i find this pointless. When i steal laptops i wipe em clean. and ip addresses will only confuse cops. no offense but this generalization of my local police department.

I've got a couple question. I am sure people have heard of that software called Undercover and I have read recovery stories about this. Now the thing is I have a password on my MBP so what good is this if thief can't even get around this. I am not positive but I can't you put in your OSX disk and reset the password that way? Then again do you really think a thief has the resources or the intelligence to know this? So in order for the Undercover app to really work you have to have your computer non password protected correct?

You can reset passwords with install disks. I certainly have the resources to reset the passwords of stolen laptops. And you'd be right about having to unlock the computer.

But i don't go that far most of the time sell it fast for the weed.

for sarcastic impaired i am joking i usually copy all the data off first.

Thats what I was wondering. Personally, I go for windows desktops installed with windows '95. I heard those things is the shiz.

LOLOMG. Dude. DUDE. 95 is OLD TECHNOLOGY. 98 is where it is at.

Tupac told me so, in a dream.

I can't quite believe someone made a Youtube video which tells people to type in URLs...when he was spelling out macupdate.com, I did not have any idea what he was spelling until I saw the logo load up.
