Hm.. I'd delete the .plist and see what happens.

I've never heard of this happening...

just curious, what is the .plist? Don't want to end up losing the entire history =p

this happened with my PC before, so I'm not too surprised or something, part of me is wondering if it's just a script or something on the webpage itself and not something that is affecting adium itself.

the logs are in a different part, don't worry!
do a spotlight search for adium, and you'll see a com.apple.adium.plist (something like that) and you can move it, to see if that helps. (move it from original location, so it has to make a new one..)

but I have no idea of what could have run, and deleting a .plist can help weird things.
I couldn't boot iTunes for a long time until I baleeted the .plist.

adium is a TOTALLY SWEET chat client.

VERY customizable, open source, and VERY FREE.

It supports AIM, YAhoo, MSN, JAbber, ICQ, GoogleTalk.. and a few more (I'm not at my mac, so I can't tell ya what the others are but I think there are a few more)

It's AWESOME! Give it a try! :)

adiumx.com
and plug-ins for UI customization at
adiumxtras.com

:D

Maybe someone else could be on your SN at another location? Change your password, maybe? I'm running out of ideas.

Open activity monitor and see if something strange is running?

This is exactly what's happening. Adium doesn't send this kind of stuff, another person using the same SN on AIM will, however.

I suggest you change your password or get a new AIM account (or whatever srivce you're using).
