I bought the "SimonClassic" app a few weeks back. A LOT like the old handheld Simon game, but not perfect (does not speed up on its own as the real game did).

Well, it appears the makers have a copyright problem and have issued an update (a real update, not a new app) that overwrites the old app and icon, renaming it MemoryBlock and totally changes the gameplay (has five colored areas, not four among other things).

Well, I do not want to update this. I like my SimonClassic as it is.

Is there a way to have my iPhone ignore this (and future) update and not show it any longer? I admit I have not yet checked on my computer in iTunes.

if you're worried about an "update all" you can go in and grab the .ipa file for the current game and copy it somewhere else on our computer. if it gets accidentally updated, just replace the file again (saving the original still) and re-sync and it should put the game back on your iphone.

Find the version of the app you want and install it with install0us. Then the App Store will not look for updates for it. If you don't want to do that, you could crack the one you own and install it with install0us.

Or just ignore the update.
