I have an A1278 that one day just wouldn't power on. I tried some fixes but nothing worked and it was replaced.

Fast forward, I'm looking at getting it working again. I have watched a load of YouTube videos and tested their faults, but mine doesn't show the same symptoms.

I did watch one video that replaced the SMC and Voltage Regulator (R33V and 0DC) and that fixed his, but how can I test that they actually need replacing?

I can replace the parts, but I'd rather not if that's not what the issue is.

Thanks

Have you replaced the charger yet?
