I've done a search on this but can't find anything that quite answers my question.
I'm currently transferring music that I downloaded from Limewire onto my PC to my new MBP. I have been ripping my cds on the aac format but the songs I downloaded from Limewire are a mix of mp3 and wma. I'm trying to convert them to aac but the option on my preferences menu is blanked out so can't do it.
Can anyone help? Or, is this a waste of time anyway? I read somewhere that converting files just results in further lost quality? Is this the case and could I just play the mp3s and wma on my ipod touch?
