And Apple will not be the world's "largest company" if/when their market cap surpasses ExxonMobil.

Misleading title.
You meant "most valuable" by market capitalization.
It's not the largest by profit or number of employees.
By revenue, it's not even in the top 100. CNN ranks it
111th in their ranking of the world's largest corporations.
