So I got to this chapter and am having some problems.

The default project includes the CoreFoundation framework includes CoreFoundation.h in the code. But I have got the Foundation framework in the project and included Foundation.h like the book says, but the project gives loads of errors.

But I loaded the completed project from the authors web site ... it looks identical but compiles without errors

Yeah, it looks like the CoreFoundation framework didn't get added correctly or completely. Did you add it yourself or start with a CF project type? If you select the project type Foundation Tool (under the Command Line Utility heading), it should set everything up for you.

Yeah it looks like you selected the wrong choice- make sure you select foundation tool because by the looks of your screenshot, it seems as if you chose a c program rather than an objective-c program- it says main.c instead of main.m

It's nice when the fix is that simple. :)

I'm reading through the same book and find that it's excellent.
