So I downloaded the ABC player so I can watch those shows for free but it crashes every time I'm about to start watching something. Anyone else having this issue? And more importantly, anyone else FIX this issue?

I got a feeling an update will be coming shortly if this is pretty widespread.

Ya I have noticed it. But ABC will fix it. Remember folks it's the first day for the iPad 3rd party apps won't be perfect.

Restarting mine helped

Hah, I can't believe it but it worked! I cant believe I didn't try it before, though from the app store ratings I just saw it looks like around half of users have this issue and not all are resolved by restarts.

you are correct--this thing was rushed to market, as were the apps. EVERYTHING nowadays is rushed to market, so I don't want to hear arguments from fanbois that I'm blowing smoke. Product cycles are short and competition is keen for consumer dollars. Companies worry about every day that goes by without a release of their latest gadget.

No argument, most apps i've downloaded feel very Beta.

It's funny their excuse for not allowing flash was due to crashing yet the apps they are employing to bypass flash are crashing more than flash has ever crashed on me lol The ABC app would be cool thoughnif not for all the crashing. I'm sure they'll release an update soon.

Yeah the abc app crashes when a video starts playing.

The netflix app crashed on me too, but not nearly as bad.

You don't need to restart your iPad. Uninstall it and download again from apps store. Now mine is working perfectly!
