Is there anyway to trick the ip address so I can watch abc on my iPad? Thanks
G

It should work if you can find a VPN with an American IP.

I think the iPad can connect to VPN's

with the vpn server, are these settings stored in your ipad rather then router? I.e once set up can I use say strongVPn to view ABC whereever I find a wifi connection?

Also is there a performance drop by using it, and if so.... it is easy to switch between not using the vpn to using it without changing a load of settings?

thanks :)

The settings are stored on your device. Go to network settings on your iPad and you'll see the VPN tab. You should be able to use it with any wifi connection.

There is a slight drop in speed, because you're reliant on their server speed and bandwidth, but it's fine for streaming. I only enable it when I need it. Once you have it set up you can switch it on or off in a matter of seconds.

Hope that helps.

Virgin Trains... it just works. No idea why

It works because they use satellite for the broadband connection so it all depends where the satellite station is that feeds the train is.
I was on east coast trains and google thought i was in Sweden!
