Man, there is absolutely no way this will ever, ever get in the app store given how obvious a piracy app it is.

I'm sure the TV Catchup was a WEB-app, and here they are talking about a native iPhone app. Big difference as Apple can't control web apps like they can native apps.

Yes it is a web app as per my post. I wasn't suggesting it was ever controlled by apple but what is not in doubt is that someone was on here pouring scorn on the tvcatchup service, pontificating as to how it would not last and I think it was probably phazer.

I said that TV Catchup's App store app wouldn't get approved.
Which given they claimed to have submitted it more than six months ago and it isn't there, seems to have been proven pretty much correct.
But yeah, I have no doubt that TV Catchup will also go eventually - but I also think it'll have to go to the European Court (the issue is the EU law on retransmission) so I think it'll take a while.

That's not how I remember it, don't ever recall an app store app being mentioned at the bits I was contributing to. There will be evidence on here to the contrary no doubt.
