abiword vs OOo Writer

Hey Guys: can someone provide a review of these two unix word procs? I've run OOo under Apple's X11, but it seems pretty slow right now.

Has anyone here used abiword? how do the two compare?

i've used abiword on my sister's pc and it seemed pretty nice (i have not yet used ooo). it had all of the basic word processing features and a decent dictionary/thesaurus. it also had some cool plug-ins that you could add, the most impressive was the image magik plug-in set that allowed you to perform preset transformations on images right from the contextual menu. it seemed to open plain text .doc files ok, but i don't know about the more complicated ones. for a 4 meg download it was very impressive.
