? abot what Apple TV will play

I have a projector home theatre system and was curious what will the appletv actually play?Only stuff from itunes or will it play anything that plays on the ipod?I get tv shows from itunes and ipodnova and was curious if the ones from ipodnova will play on apple tv

I guess we should have seen this coming, but on ship day, suddenly there are a half dozen or so programs out there to help you rip DVDs and reformat other videos into iTunes for Apple TV. The good news is that they all cost around $30. The question, of course, is how do you pick?

I have not purchased mine yet.I am not gonna buy if most of my collection cannot be played

You don't need a 30$ program to encode your DVDs.

And yes, if it plays on your iPod it plays on TV (except games).
