People are assuming the different collections would cost different. My concern here is that Apple doesn't really sell complexity.
My thoughts are the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport sell for $349 w/ a choice of your band. Or maybe the Apple watch sells for 500. The Apple Watch edition sells for a fixed $X,000 w/ a choice of your band.
Then the extra straps for an Apple Watch or Apple Watch Sport would sell for individual prices depending on the materials used but generally go between only a few price-points so that the consumer doesn't have to add up $$ and get confused or annoyed.
I don't have any reason to believe Apple would try hundreds of different pricings. Everyone today KNOWS the iPhone costs 199 then 100 more per storage tier. I don't know, just the whole speculation of the sport costing less than the apple watch and then the bands costing certain amounts just seems silly.
