Bill Gates doesn't work at Microsoft anymore. Being the Richest man in the world for a Solid 20 years and changing the landscape of computing was probably enough for him.
Not sure about Mr Dell.
What's your point?
Because in 1996 Michael Dell said that Apple had to close up shop and give money back to the investors. Now Dell Inc. is teetering and the iFanboys are like sharks smelling blood in the water.
Dell Inc Is worth 23.8 Billion, they raked in 15 Billion dollars last year.
Yes, they had a couple crappy quarters. That does not mean that they are teetering. Company's that are teerting are not worth 23.8 billion, and they don't bring in 15 billion dollars a year. Dell does. Dell is moving more to the Enterprise Market ( a Market Apple can't compete in. Tried to, and failed ),
Dell isn't going anywhere. A lot of companies have bad years. Doesn't mean they will go away.
Do you know why Mr. Dell said that? At that time, Apple Computers had less than 2% of the Marketshare, had less than a billion in the bank, and almost went bankrupt. A lot of people thought Apple would be toast.
If Michael Dell had never talked smack, he wouldn't be haunted by it to this day. Steve Jobs' Ghost is wandering the halls of Dell HQ haunting him!
Why would be haunted? His company is hugely succesful, they are one of the leading PC and Enterprise Vendors, and he's a multi billionaire lol
Because iFanboys are mocking Michael Dell on message boards!

Dell said that he initially refused to answer the original question in 1997, and after being asked to answer twice he basically responded “What would I do? I’d shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders,” because he couldn’t imagine himself being CEO of any other company.
Dell went on, “The meaning of my answer was that I’m the CEO of Dell, I don’t think about being the CEO of any other company, I’m not a CEO for hire, so if you asked me what I’d do for any other company, it’s not really something I think about.”
As for the OP, not quite sure what the point of the post is meant to be...
