Let's say you plan to buy a new iMac , iPad or iPhone.

When transfer programs, files etc to new iMac, iPad , iPhone a lot will be using migration assistant.

so my question is ,

- all the current settings you set on your present iMac , iPad and iPhone will be all transfer to the new sets?
- You need to key in passwords again in every single site, etc you going to use , surf on the new imac, ipad, iphone?

Most do but there are exceptions. Mail smart mailboxes don't get transferred.

If you use a password manager such as 1Password then logins work normally.
Noob here, i just get ready " if " I going to get a new iMac , iPad, iPhone. More like to learn how to do transfer all the so call " settings " , " passwords " , sites bookmark " etc to new iMac , iPad , iPhone.

so the mailbox mean I have to manual input the stmp part again? so call mail port?
