Hi all
I was wondering when you change the password in System Preferences, does that change the login Keychain?

you can change the Login Password either in System Preferences/Security and Privacy/General Change Login Password, or, System Preferences/Users & Groups.
Either way you need to know yr current login password to make a login password change.
And either way updates the Keychain.

Thank you very much for your reply, however when you say "updates the keychain" you mean the password and keychain become the same, is that right?

EDIT: not to worry I did a bit of experimenting and found this is correct
