So does this article mean:
A) I need to pay $175 to get the iPhone when I am 8 months into my contract currently.
B) I need to pay $175 to sell the iPhone on ebay after getting the phone.

It means that if you dont want to use the iphone as a phone, and wish to cancel your service with AT&T you will have to pay $175.00. To get out of any current contract you will have to check on what your current plan stipulates as to your Early Termination Fee.

JUST TO CLARIFY- So I have been in my contract for about 8 months, on the 29th I will be able to wait in line all day and buy the iPhone for $599, straight up? No other fees?
