Hi,

I have a Mac mini running OS X 10.10.4. I noticed a while back that when looking at storage chart in the About this mac section that the details are all wrong with my photo library not showing as photos but with a around 100GB of other - about half of which are actually photos.

I have tried two thing to fix this both methods have reindexed the main HD but the issue persists.

1. spotlight settings/prefs - privacy added main HD then removed it and drive reindexed
2. sudo mdutil -E /

after both attempts, i have restarted the mac but it doesn't fix it.

Is this a bug with 10.10? it's a silly thing but it annoys me.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Yes it is... that storage graphic is all screwed up in Yosemite. Mine doesn't seem to even recognize my 8GB Photos library.

Sometime that reindex you did (step 2) will help for a while, but then it seems to get all off again.

Yes, I also noticed that the storage graphics sometimes does not show my Photos Library as Photos but as Other. I was hoping it would be fixed in 10.10.4. But it wasn't. Only solution that I found is to copy the library to an external hd. Delete it from the Mac. And then copy it back from the external hd to the Mac.
