Hello, I have been using windows pc for digital art for years, but want to purchase the new imac for its 5k resolution. I do animated art/painting on adobe photoshop. I've been using 1080p monitor for years now.

I've been lurking around the forums and noticed people saying adobe photoshop don't really work well with high resolution like the imac 5k? Or any digital painting programs for that matter?

They say that it lags because the imac resolution is way too high for photoshop.

Is this really the case?

Also, I am getting the base 1799 dollar 2017 5k imac. Would this be sufficient for photoshop at 5k resolution?
I believe the configuration is 7th gen i5, ddr4 8gb, and radeon 570 or something like that.

Thanks in advance!

I have a 2015 iMac 5K with 16GB and the i7 6700K. I haven't noticed any lag in anything I do. I do not do video editing though.
