Please help me... I might just be really dumb or blind ;) but I can't find iMac compatable RAM on newegg. I like buying from newegg because it's generally cheaper and their stuff usually works. Can someone help me out with picking the right ram from there (only from newegg, I searched and found links to other places). Thanks in advance.

NewEgg sells almost no guaranteed Mac compatible RAM. Check out datamem.com. IMO, it is the best place to buy Mac RAM. It is very cheap, high quality, and excellent service. You won't be disappointed.

I figured as much... because I was looking and couldn't find an option for 200 pin. Is datamem's prices comparable to newegg at least? If it is more likely to work I obviously wouldn't mind spending a little more seeing a computer is an investment to me.

Datamem is usually slightly more than Newegg for similar RAM, but not by much. It is definitely worth it because the guarantee it to be the correct RAM. I purchase all my Mac RAM from them and so do many other MR members.

I have gotten all of my RAM from Newegg for my PowerBook. I bought two sticks of RAM from them and have had no problems with it at all.

I bought my 2GB Ram from datamem.com for my 20" Intel iMac. I thought the price of $241 for the Ram and overnight shipping was very good at the time. It actually got to my home before the iMac which was also shipped overnight as well.
I bought from Newegg once and the Ram was bad, yet they wanted to charge me a fee (or be charged for a second stick) plus I had to pay to ship the bad stick back, as well as shipping for the new stick  I've never bought from them again, even though they finally waved the restock fee.
So for me it's datamem or if they are out OWC (macsales.com).

I just bought an OWC 2GB stick for my iMac G5 from macsales.com. Total cost plus shipping was $242.

So far, its working great. Dang, my mac is fast now.....
