About to install PC card, need list of ways to change start up disks

Hi everyone,

I'm about to install a PC card in the mac pro I have as the title suggests. Problem is I really like my boot screens, specifically holding option.

Its a 2008 mac pro 3,1 running sierra, and windows 10. For whatever reason Windows DOES NOT show up in start up disk under system prefs. And since windows 10 "isnt supported" on this Pretty 8 core PC with an apple logo on the case, I do not have bootcamp support installed in windows. So my only way of changing OSes is with the option key.

Does anyone know of any third party apps that will allow me to do this in both windows, and os x?
I know about bootchamp, I'm about to test it out. But that still leaves the question of how to get back into os x from windows...
I know what youre thinking, leave the current card in or buy a new one. I just cannot stand this ancient x2600 radeon any longer, and I have 3$ to my name so purchasing a Mac card at 200$ more than the card is worth is not an option. The card in question is a GT740, as far as I can find with endless hours of searching is that it cannot be flashed over.

Bootchamp will only make you boot to Windows once. The next boot will automatically go back to OSX. Also, if stuck at booting to Windows. A PRAM reset will always bring you back to OSX.

Depending on how many drives you have, you can hold down the option hey and hit the left arrow key so that it selects the Mac HD (again depending on how many drives you have) you may not be able to see it but trust it is there. I did this on my old 08 MP with W10/7

I have Windows 10 Pro 64-bit running on my 1,1 Mac Pro. Windows shows up in system prefs, and I downloaded the latest bootcamp drivers from Apple site. I also run a PC video card and have no problems booting back and forth between windows and El Capitian. How did you install Windows? I found it was way easier to install windows on a pc then move the drive to the mac.

There are 4 drives in the mac, one with Lion as well but that shows up in system prefs so im not concerned about that one.

When I tried to install the boot camp drivers it told me that it wasn't supported. I was using the ones created by the bootcamp utility, though. I installed windows 10 the old fashioned way with the install DVD.

On mine the media install would only do 32 bit win 10, so I had to use a pc to get the 64 bit version installed. Because my machine is so old I think I had to use old and new bootcamp drivers to get it all working. Installed on windows side only, no bootcamp on mac side.
