I'm looking at adding onto a 1TB internal storage M4 Pro MacBook Pro with an external 4TB SSD. I'm thinking about choosing between either an Acasis TB501Pro (and putting a Samsung 990 Pro in it), or getting a Sonnet Echo 13 Hub with the 4TB Kingston drive in it (I have no problem with Kingston drives). I'm just not sure which I should go with. I'd go with the Sonnet because I really like the extras of the hub, but it's a bit expensive. However, if I wanted to save some money, I have a serious question about the Acasis - is it *really* a true TB5 device? All of its benchmarks are quoted using "USB4 v2." I'm not sure if that's the same thing as TB5 or not, or if it's functionally equivalent to TB5. Is it?

Which would you go with? Or, would you ditch both and just go with the OWC Envoy Ultra 4TB? Your opinion is appreciated. Thanks!
